Suppressed Memory Of Priest Abuse Ruled Out In Winona Diocese Suit

Too late to sue a Minnesota priest for clergy abuse...

The Minnesota Supreme Court makes that ruling in dismissing a lawsuit filed against a former priest with the Diocese of Winona, Thomas Adamson. James Keenan of Savage, Minnesota says Adamson abused him in the 1980's, and he just remembered the abuse recently. The high court says the statute of limitations expired before Keenan filed his suit. The diocese supports the court ruling, arguing that repressed memories are not generally reliable for making charges of priest abuse.
