Escapees Make Court Appearances In Florida

The two inmates that escaped from a prison in Black River Falls and were arrested in Florida yesterday made their first court appearance in Broward County, Florida today.

Probable cause was found for all counts against James Newman and James Mislevec. The judge set Misleveck's bond on a Loitering and Prowling charge he was picked up on in Broward at $10 thousand and he is being held on a no bond Federal Marshal's hold and a no bond hold for the escape charge out of Wisconsin. Newman is being held on $20 thousand total bond for Grand Theft Auto, Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer Causing Serious Injury or Death, Resisting an Officer w/o Violence and Loitering. There are no bond holds on the Federal Marshal hold and the Wisconsin hold for Escape against Newman as well. Their next court appearance will be Monday, at 8:15 a.m.
