CouleeCap Gets Money To Tear Down Houses

4 houses in La Crosse will be demolished thanks in part to money awarded to Coulee Cap of La Crosse County. It's part of the state's Strategic Blight Elimination Program. Department of Financial Institutions Secretary, Peter Bildsten, explains what criteria has to be met before money's are handed down.

$1 million was given to 10 Wisconsin cities for demolition of blighted residential properties. The funds were made available from proceeds of the National Mortgage Settlement received earlier this year by DFI and DOJ.
