River to Re-open Today After Dredging

The Mississippi near La Crosse should re-open to barge traffic today after a three day shutdown.  A tow pushing 15 barges ran aground just south of La Crosse on Tuesday, backing up commercial traffic going north and south.  The barge was freed but the Army Corps kept the river closed to dredge sand in the area.  The river should re-open to barge traffic at noon.
