The emerald ash borer continues to spread north through the La Crosse area...

Yesterday, the Wisconsin Ag Department discovered the trapping of an adult ash borer at Trempealeau, in Perrot State Park. The tree-killing beetle has previously been found in La Crosse, Vernon, and Crawford County...and has reached 13 Wisconsin counties in all. State experts say some, but not all, ash trees will have to be removed from the park to prevent the ash borer from spreading.
