Lax County Courts Look Into More Video Conferencing

The La Crosse County courts may invest more money in modern video technology, to save money over time.

Funding for a video link to connect one La Crosse courtroom and other jails could be included in next year's county budget, according to county administrator Steve O'Malley.

Video conferencing in the courtroom is routinely used in some parts of western Wisconsin. O'Malley says all the La Crosse judges would like to have such equipment in their courtrooms, but now they have to share facilities located on another floor.
