Open Burning Is Banned For Holiday Weekend In Onalaska

No open burning in Onalaska, for now...

The Onalaska Fire Department has issued a ban on open fires in the city and parts of surrounding towns, until further notice. One measure of the fire danger in Onalaska is at its highest level. All of La Crosse County is within a 'very high' danger zone for fires, according to the Wisconsin DNR, while almost all of the state that's south of La Crosse County is at a 'high' risk level.
