Powers Returns To Court This Month To Seek Murder Trial

Eight months after pleading guilty to the murder of a Jackson County man, Aaron Powers is still trying to take back that plea...

Powers will be back in court on September 28th, to argue for a new trial in the shooting death of Terrance Stoen of North Bend. He claims that his previous attorney pushed him into pleading guilty to a reduced charge of reckless homicide last January. Stoen was shot at his home in the fall of 2010, and some of his belongings were stolen, including his truck. Powers had the truck and other items when he was arrested days later in another county.
