First day on the job, maybe get moved into the office.  Meet the secretary.  Figure out the voicemail.  Second day on the job for La Crosse's new police chief: Oktoberfest.  Ron Tischer gets sworn in as the city's new chief next Thursday.  And then by Friday, he'll be in the thick of Oktoberfest.  Really, he says
