Cops: War Vet Pulls Knife in Downtown Fight

An Iraq and Afghanistan war vet is in trouble for pulling a knife during a fight in downtown La Crosse this week-end. Cops say 26 year-old Nicholas Gustafson from Menomenie is in the Wisconsin Army National guard. They say he pulled out his Operation Iraqi Freedom knife during a tussle in a downtown pizza joint on Friday night. Witnesses differ on how it all went down, but punches were thrown, guys were on the ground, someone got cut and, they say, Gustafson's knife had blood on the blade. He told cops at the time he wasn't sure how the blood got there.
