Sure sign of fall in La Crosse.  It's not the leaves falling off the trees.  It's the trucks that the city will soon send around to pick them up.  Curbside leaf collection begins Monday in La Crosse.  Collection will begin on the north side and crews will work south to the end of the city. Crews will go through the city four times collecting leaves, assuming snow doesn't start piling up before they get finished.  Leaf pick-up is said to be one of the services in La Crosse that could be threatened in the future as the city continues to cut costs.
