Dairyland Ahead of the Green Game

Many energy companies have complained about the burdens of meeting renewable energy standards in Wisconsin.  By 2015, all utilities in the state are mandated to meet a ten percent level of energy generation or investment in renewable sources.  La Crosse's Dairyland Power has already hit that mark.  And then some.  A new evaluation of the Co-op's portfolio finds that Dairyland is at 12 percent renewable currently.  The latest addition to that portfolio is energy purchased from a solar collection facility at the Galena, Illinois wastewater treatment plant.
