DOT Plans for La Crosse Intersection Changes
There's the expensive option and the more expensive option for changing an intersection in La Crosse. During an open meeting, that was kept all but secret by the DOT this week, the agency detailed its plans for the intersection at seventh and Cass. It's just time for that whole section of Cass street to be fixed, says project manager, Joe Gregas.
The DOT wants to realign seventh street with traffic lights for about 700 thousand dollars or make the intersection a roundabout for 800 thousand. At this point, Gregas says, the agency is just trying to determine which option to take. Work on the Cass street project would begin in 2015.
