Oktoberfest Next Already Considered by City Hall

Next year's Oktoberfest already under consideration in La Crosse city hall.  The city has to determine what it will charge the Fest organization in fees next year; expect several thousand dollars more from public works, though public works director Dale Hexom says he's not sure about the final number.  He's also not certain what to do with the ongoing problem of people setting up early for the Maple Leaf in the right of way.  It's a drag on his personnel to police he says.  And that can mean other projects in the city suffering

Hexom says he's considering options for parade enforcement.  One idea: Parade watching permits.  Parade goers would be able to pay to reserve a space along the Maple Leaf route.
