Suspect Sought in Southside Purse Robbery

La Crosse police are hoping for some quick leads
after a girl on the
southside was robbed this week-end. Police say the 17
year-old was walking on Ward avenue at about 11:30 on Friday night was shoved
against a fence by a guy in a hoodie who stole her purse and ran off. A
guy inside a nearby bar called police after he heard her
screaming. The girl was apparently unhurt.. Told cops she
was startled by the guy coming up behind her because she had her headphones on
and the music cranked all the way up. No suspects yet.
