Economic Development Commission in the Works

There's been plenty of criticism about how difficult it is for developers to work with La Crosse city hall. That may change in the future as the city council begins consideration tonight of a plan to create a new economic development commission and create guidelines for financial incentives.  In some ways, says city councilman Dick Swantz, the effort is breaking new ground

Swantz estimates the plan for a commission and incentive guidelines has been in the works for the last 18 months.
