Eco Park Chief to Leave
More transition for the La Crosse Myrick Hixon
Eco-Park. After two
years as the park's first permanent executive
director, Jeff Su is leaving the Eco-Park for another job. In an
October letter to Eco-Park members, Su says he's quitting to take a job in
Colorado. Su took over at the Eco-Park in September two years ago with a
plan to significantly scale back big dollar plans for an indigenous animal zoo
at the park. What emerged later involved essentially no animals but
experiential environmental areas intending to educate about different
ecosytems. Some parts of what Su envisioned have been constructed since
then. Current assistant director June Chromey will take over the job at
the park.
