Seems as though absentee votring is on the rise and it was very evident during the last election cycle. La Crosse County Clerk Ginny Denkmeyer says the numbers slipped a bit the past couple of weeks.

But in Holmen, at a lone polling site, out of the 4600 registered voters....1600 came via absentee. And in Onalaska, one district with 3400 voters saw over 1000 come in absentee.
