Hixon Forest will once again be the site of a special 2 day hunt coming up in a few weeks. But as Jay Odegaard of the La Crosse Park and Rec Department explains, it's not open to everyone.

He says about 20 hunters will be chosen through that permit lottery. Each hunter will be allowed to take two deer.....with doe's being preferable . The deer hunt will be held on December 1st and 2nd from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm each day. Contact La Crosse park and rec for more information.
