Brief Air Pollution Alert In La Crosse Over The Weekend

For a while this weekend, La Crosse had an air pollution problem more common to bigger cities...

Unusual weather patterns forced smoke and other pollution to stay close to the ground on Saturday night. Jim Steinhoff from the county health department says the air quality in La Crosse was raised to the orange level on Saturday.  More severe air quality levels are red, purple and maroon. Steinhoff says getting to the highest level of danger, maroon, would require something dramatic, like a forest fire.
