Gow Turns Down UW-Madison Position

UW-L Chancellor Joe Gow has been nominated as a candidate for the top leadership role at UW-Madison, but Gow says he has no interest in seeking the job. He tells us he was not a firm candidate.

Gow informed faculty and staff of his decision via email Saturday and says UW-L is where he wants to be. This is the second time Gow has turned down another leadership position.  Back in March of 2011, Gow was pursuing a presidential opening at State University in New York. He has been at UW-L since 2007.
