City Sees Growing Compliance With Garbage Rules
For some in La Crosse, ignorance about new rules regarding garbage has come with a price. Several tickets of nearly two hundred dollars have been written for breaking trash regulations adopted by the city six months ago. Otherwise, says public works director, Dale Hexom, the public generally appears to be getting used to the new regulations. Hexom says growing awareness is a key part of the process for acceptance
Garbage rules are likely to undergo more change as the city prepares to sign a new garbage contract with a hauler in the coming year. Part of that contract will likely include automated pick-up.
