A convicted motel robber can avoid prison time, if he agrees to a counseling program.  Joshua Green of La Crosse is sentenced to jail time and probation, with a prison sentence stayed.  Green pled guilty to robbing a motel clerk of $150 last March, so he could buy drugs.  A state corrections agent suggested probation for Green, so he can be treated for drug addiction and mental illness.
