Third Drug Dog Likely on the Way for Police
It won't necessarily get wrapped up, tied with a bow and put under the tree, but the La Crosse police department does appear to be heading towards getting an early Christmas present from the city council. Without blinking, the council has this week given preliminary approval to spending fifty thousand dollars on a new drug dog for the department. The money will only be available if there's that much leftover in the police department's budget from this year. The department wants a third drug dog in order to have one readily available for every shift.
