La Crosse continues to be one of the highest cost metro areas for health insurance premiums in the state.  That determination comes from the annual study on premiums conducted by Citizen Action of Wisconsin.  The survey finds that La Crosse's health insurance premiums have more than doubled since 2000, to an average single monthly premium of 754 dollars and change.  That's third highest in the state.  The same report finds La Crosse home to some of the highest quality in health insurance plans.
