Web Helps Cops Recover Stolen Goods

Onalaska's police department continues to utilize a web site to reunite people with their stolen stuff.  Police chief Jeff Trotnic says Leads Online helps staff recover property without having to leave their desks.   If they can find a serial number on the stolen property that's great.  But, if that can't be found a description is often enough to reunite people with their belongings.  Since Onalaska cops started accessing Leads Online they recovered over ten grand worth of heisted property.  For the first two years of the program Pawn America has sprung for the two grand to gain access to the web site.  Next year the city will consider splitting the cost with the retailer.
