Kind Calls Last-Minute Fiscal Cliff Votes "Lousy Way" To Run US

Instead of attending parties or watching football games, members of Congress spent their New Year's holiday trying to dodge a financial disaster.

Both the Senate and House voted yesterday to avoid that dreaded "fiscal cliff," even though the apparent deadline had passed. Congressman Ron Kind of La Crosse says, let's not do that again, calling last-minute late-night votes a "lousy way" to run a country.


Kind tells us that letting taxes rise for many families might have pushed the country into a long recession.
