Eagle Cam Inventor Wants To Save A National Bird Now

Bob Anderson is one of the people behind the widely popular Decorah Eagle Cam. Over 200 million people have viewed eagles being hatched the past 3 years. And even though the cams will stay near nests in Decorah, Iowa, new ones are going save the Phillipine national bird. The Philippine Eagle.

Anderson says they are threatened primarily by deforestation through logging and expanding agriculture. Old growth forest is being lost at a high rate, and most of the eagle's forest in the lowlands is owned by logging companies. He hopes that 200 million people will watch these birds too, to hopefully save a species that's near extinction.
