Ash Borer Found In La Crescent

The emerald ash borer has now been found in trees in La Crescent. And what to do with those trees and any living trees will be a topic of discussion there later this month. Back in early December it was decided that the City of La Crosse would remove hundreds of healthy trees from its city parks to help fend off the pest. Minnesota State Entomologist Mark Abrahamson says La Crescent may do something else.

894 trees in La Crosse may start coming down this month. All cut trees will be replaced by varieties other than ash.
