Meth Bust Next Door To PD And FD

A meth lab was busted in a Sparta apartment Friday night. And it's location was close enough that officers could have walked a search warrant to the 2 people inside. How about 2 doors down from the PD.

27 year old Daniel Klinkenberg of Sparta and La Crosse and 28 year old Greg Arnold of Sparta were arrested Friday night after police executed a search warrant, with rifles drawn, at 113½ E. Oak St. The fire department, located across the street, was on alert as toxic chemicals related to the production of meth were in the apartment. The State Division of Criminal Investigation meth lab team removed the chemicals.

The bust is a result of an ongoing drug investigation involving Sparta police, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and the West Central Metropolitan Enforcement Group.
