Huge gun sales in the US recently has created some challenges for a La Crosse gunsmith.  Brian Smith, says a rush on AR-15 assault weapons has meant a breakdown in his supply chain

Smith largely builds AR-15 weapons for competition.  He says some of the parts for the guns he builds are on a several month backorder.   The AR-15 has been targeted as a symbol of excessive firepower by some lawmakers. An AR-15 Bushmaster was one of the weapons involved in the Sandy Hook elementary shooting.
