Some of La Crosse Marsh Will Remain With City
Not all of La Crosse's marsh will be given to the DNR. The city's public works board next week plans to hammer out some details regarding the transfer of most of the marsh to the natural resources agency. The city's holding on to big stretches in order to accomodate a future possible north south road through the marsh, among other reasons. Necessary, says public works board member and councilman, Bob Seaquist
The city also wants to keep two hundred feet along both sides of Lang Drive, in case there's a need for future expansion of that city street.
