Commander Boards Likely to Go in La Crosse
Mobile signs for special events are on the way out in La Crosse. The city had adopted new rules last year that allowed use of so-called commander boards for charities. But city council member Bob Seaquist says the rules just allow too much wiggle room by sign companies
The mobile signs had been illegal--but still frequently used in La Crosse--for the last dozen or so years until last year's sweeping overhaul to the city's sign rules. The city's rules commitee has voted to ban commander boards in the city.
