La Crosse Police Paid For Security at Downtown Bar
The La Crosse police department will get paid for
some overtime hours it
provided this week-end.. The Arena sports bar on
third street, apparently expecting a little trouble, paid the La Crosse
police department overtime costs for security on Friday and early Saturday
morning for a rap concert. The bar got its money's worth. Cops
dealt with a number of people, including a 25 year-old guy who tried to get
on stage, got turned away by house security and the bashed the bouncer
in the side of the head with a beer bottle. Very drunk, police say, the
guy was also irritated about the money he was out in a cover charge for the
show.
