President Lee Rasch knows his college will get around $250 thousand if and when the new state budget is passed. He kind of figured so. But working out of the black for the first time in a while now......that's a change.

Walker's budget calls for a shift in how technical colleges are funded, moving toward a model that ties general state aid increasingly to performance measures including graduation rates, job placement and focus on training workers in high demand fields. Rasch says that plays right into Western's hands.
