Harter's Beats Others on Bid for La Crosse Garbage Contract

Looks like the familiar blue and red garbage trucks on the streets of La Crosse will continue to be there into next year.  Harter's has submitted the lowest cost proposal for providing garbage service in the city for a new contract.  The city is moving to automated pick-up service at the beginning of the year and proposals unveiled today at a Board of Public Works meeting had Harter's coming in with a lower price than Hilltoppers or Waste Management.   Harter's also recently outbid those companies to provide service in Onalaska.
