Frye Died From Hypothermia

The results are in on the death of a 23 year old UW-L student.

La Crosse County Medical Examiner, John Steers, says Neala Frye died February 17th of hypothermia secondary to intoxication after leaving the Spillway Pub in Onalaska. Her body was found in a ditch just south of the Black River spillway. Her death has been ruled an accident.


A scholarship fund honoring Frye will benefit students for decades. Organizers plan to raise $25 thousand within two years.
