40 Arrested Monday Morning In Winona

Winona Catholic Workers organized a frac sand mine protest Monday morning. Protesters say their goal was to halt business operations at 2 mining sites. Winona Police Chief, Paul Bostrack said they almost ran out of handcuffs.

Bostrack said all on duty police officers, including investigators, were at the harbor, along with many sheriff's deputies and the Minnesota State Patrol. Those arrested and cited were charged with trespassing.
