Minnesota To Pay More?

A UW System campus advisory committee is recommending the University of

Wisconsin-Madison charge Minnesota residents out of state tuition as part of a broader strategy to create an ideal incoming freshman class. UW-L Chancellor Joe Gow says that's something he's keeping his eye on.

Gow tells us that Minnesota students, since the 1970s, have received a deep tuition discount to attend public universities in Wisconsin, and the same arrangement is available for Wisconsin students attending public universities in Minnesota. They pay only a few thousand dollars more than resident students.
