Union Head Welcomes Residency Changes

Living arrangements could change significantly for many La Crosse city workers soon.  State lawmakers are moving towards ending residency requirements for local government workers.  Effectively releasing the workers who have to live in the city as a condition of employment

Rich Smith is the president of the the local Service Employees Union that represents workers in city hall.  The city's human resources department tells us evaluating fallout from the residency changes won't be possible until the state's budget process is complete.
