City Moving Towards Decision on Park Plaza

La Crosse city hall would like to be cautious when it comes to a deal to develop the Park Plaza property on Barron Island.  But there's not really that luxury.  Not after a rush deal between the county and a developer to sell the property.  Now the city is getting pushed to agree to what will get built there.  Not how mayor Tim Kabat would have wanted things to go.  But he also didn't envision the property sitting for ten years with no development

The developer, who's buying the six acre site for 800 thousand dollars wants to build mostly housing there.  The city council will consider the plans at meetings next month.
