Walker Says Regents Will Monitor UW System Finances In Future

Tuition at four year institutions in the UW System has increased by at least 5.5 percent every year since 2001, far surpassing the rate of inflation. Governor Scott Walker says in the current budget, they included a two year tuition freeze to lighten the load for students and their families.

One way Walker plans to monitor the finances of the UW System in the future is regents will have a bit more flexibility in that area. He also says.....

Walker stopped at UW-L Wednesday. He will be on the UW-Superior campus today, talking again with students and staff of the UW-System.
