Well Closed at Pettibone

Don't drink the water at Pettibone Park.   A notice from the parks department says the the Artesian Well at the park will be closed until further notice.   The county health department blames high bacterial levels in the water.  And says the water poses a serious health hazard.  Just to be on the safe side, they say you should throw out all, ice, food, and any beverages prepared with unsafe water. You should boil or use commercially bottled water for drinking, food preparation and making ice. If you boil water, the water should be heated to a rolling boil for at least 5 minutes before use. Ice should be made from boiled or bottled water. They say are working to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
