Speed Bumps on 33rd Stalled by Mayor

Traffic calming that almost got done with nobody noticing in La Crosse may now not get done at all.  Nearly two hundred on a petition say they were surprised to hear that five giant speed bumps were planned for 33rd street on the southside during construction this summer. But they weren't the only ones.  Apparently the head of MTU was also surprised.  As was the fire chief.  Something to look at, says mayor Tim Kabat

Kabat says he'll have city staff look at other options besides speed bumps for the heavy traffic street.  He says those bumps might not get installed at all.
