MVC Uses State Money to Buy 400 Acres

Another huge tract of land set aside by a La Crosse-based land conservation organization.  The Mississippi Valley Conservancy has utilized nine hundred thousand dollars in state stewardship money to preserve from development 400 acres on the edge of Boscobel.  The MVC says the grant is the second largest ever received by the organization, second only to a near-million dollar grant to buy a big area of grasslands near Holmen back in 2007.
