Holmen High Student Killed In Collision With Squad Car

A TEENAGE DRIVER IS DEAD IN A COLLISION BETWEEN A SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT SQUAD CAR AND ANOTHER CAR ON HIGHWAY 35.

THE CRASH HAPPENED AROUND 1 O'CLOCK SUNDAY MORNING, AT THE INTERSECTION OF 35 AND HIGHWAY O-T, NORTH OF ONALASKA. THE SHERIFF'S SQUAD WAS CALLED TO HOLMEN TO PROVIDE BACKUP, WHEN VILLAGE POLICE WENT TO BREAK UP A BAR FIGHT. THE SECOND CAR PULLED ONTO 35 FROM O-T, EVEN THOUGH THE PATROL CAR HAD ITS LIGHTS AND SIREN GOING. THE SECOND DRIVER, 16-YEAR-OLD BRANDON JENNINGS, WAS THROWN FROM THE CAR, AND DIED AT GUNDERSEN LUTHERAN. JENNINGS WAS A STUDENT AT HOLMEN HIGH SCHOOL. STATE TROOPERS ARE TRYING TO RECONSTRUCT THE ACCIDENT.
