Baseball Deal with UWL Reportedly Close

A multi-year agreement between La Crosse city hall and UWL appears to be close.  The agreement would have the UWL Eagles baseball team playing at Copeland Park for the next several years.  And maybe longer, says city park and rec director Steve Carlyon

The city just last month agreed to a ten year lease extension at the park for the La Crosse Loggers in which the Loggers would pay thousands more to play there.   Details of the deal with UWL have not yet been released but Carlyon has said in the past that the city would not charge the college to us Copeland.
