DNR Not Sure Why Wolf Season Going Quickly
As the first of Wisconsin's six wolf hunting zones closes down for the season, the DNR admits some ignorance as to why the harvest is going so quickly. Zone 2 in the northeast part of the state closes this afternoon at three. In a statement released about the closing, the DNR's Land Division Administrator indicates it's difficult to say why wolves are getting gunned down at such a fast clip. Wolf harvest limit is set at 251. 110 have been killed already. Wolf season opened just eight days ago.
