Donut Man Dies

The former owner of Mr. D's donuts in La Crosse has died...

was 66, and had been ill with cancer for several years.  The old Mr. D's Donut shop at State Street and West Avenue closed six years ago, and was combined with the Java Detour store.  Art was well-known as a community volunteer, and served as Riverfest Commodore in 1986.  He's the second former Commodore to die in the last month.  Lee Snapp, the '88 Commodore, passed away in late October.
