Holmen Preparing Community Thanksgiving 2 Days Early

If you can't wait until Thanksgiving Day to have a holiday dinner, a pre-Thanksgiving feast is being planned in Holmen this year.

The November 26th dinner at the Holmen Legion Hall will be part of the monthly series of 'Holmen's Hope' meals open to the community. Nancy Proctor, the village president, is requesting one specific menu item from village residents...home-baked pies.  Proctor says dinner organizers will be ready for about 300 guests. She says having this dinner on a Tuesday night will avoid a conflict with family events, and other community meals in La Crosse and Onalaska.
